LINE Official Account and an AI chatbot for your restaurant
In Thailand, guests expect to reach you on LINE. A well set-up Official Account answers the basics on its own, and an AI chatbot answers the rest, even at midnight.
1. Create the account
Create a LINE Official Account with LINE Official Account Manager, using your real business name and a clear logo. You can apply for the verified badge later; it helps guests trust that the account is really you.
2. Set up the basics guests see first
- Profile: opening hours, address, map pin, phone and website.
- Greeting message: one short line in Thai and English, plus what you can help with.
- Rich menu: big buttons for Menu, Book a table, Order, Location and Call.
- A LINE QR code on tables, bills and your website, so guests can add you.
3. Understand the message plans
LINE charges by the number of messages you send out, such as broadcasts to all your followers. Each plan includes a monthly allowance, and LINE changes plans and prices from time to time, so check the current plan page in LINE Official Account Manager before you choose. Start on the smallest plan and move up when your broadcasts grow.
4. Connect an AI chatbot
Auto-replies on keywords only go so far: guests write "do u have table 4 ppl 2nite?" in four languages. An AI chatbot connects to your Official Account through LINE's Messaging API and answers in full sentences, in the guest's language, from your own menu, hours and rules.
- Give it the facts: menu and prices, hours, location, parking, booking rules.
- Set what it must never do: invent prices, promise discounts, or argue.
- Decide when it hands over to a person, and who on your team picks it up.
- Read a sample of chats every week in the first month and correct what it gets wrong.
5. Use the same brain everywhere
Guests also ask on your website, Facebook and Google. When the same AI answers on your website and LINE from one set of facts, you update a price once and every channel is right.
